Multimillion dollar urban hub to reshape Brisbane’s North

Freshwater Place - Residential

A multimillion dollar master planned urban hub on one of the last remaining development sites in Griffin will launch to the market in the next few months.

Held by family-owned developers Wattle Run for over 20 years, the project to be known as Freshwater Hub is located 22km north of the Brisbane CBD and 1.5km from North Lakes.

Freshwater Hub is set to transform Griffin, combining the rustic charm of an urban farm and parkland, boutique retail and amenities and 126 residential lots being developed by Marquee Development Partners.

The project will comprise Freshwater Village, a 2.59-hectare retail, dining and entertainment precinct, including full-line Woolworths, restaurants, cafes, micro-brewery, fitness, indoor sports, health services, and more.

The 1-hectare urban farm, Freshwater Harvest will epitomize the paddock to plate ethos, providing residents with fresh produce, community events and a sense of belonging.

Freshwater Park will be an expansive 1.1 hectares of parklands featuring a state-of-the-art playground, kick and play area, open greenspace, and more.

Designed with families in mind, the residential community to be known as Freshwater Place will offer 126 freehold, flat and easy to build homesites, ranging in size up to a spacious 609m2.

Wattle Run director, Dr Jennifer Fisher said life at Freshwater Place would offer the rare opportunity to truly leave the car at home, with all of life’s essentials and more just a few short steps from the front door.

“With such an exciting vision for Freshwater Hub, we knew we had to partner with the right company to deliver Freshwater Place,” she said. “

After an extensive review process, we selected the award-winning Marquee Development Partners, one of Southeast Queensland’s premier developers.”

Having a track record delivering over 3,000 residences for Australian families, Marquee will bring their passion for creating award-winning communities that marry luxury, quality and value to Freshwater Place. Azura Griffen, Sales Manager at Marquee Development Partners, said Freshwater Place would offer an extensive range of house and land packages with single and double storey designs to choose from.

“With such an incredible amount of amenity on offer within & surrounding Freshwater Hub residents have the rare opportunity to live within easy walking distance of absolutely everything you could ever need – so we expect Freshwater Place to be extremely popular with young families, second homeowners, and downsizers alike,’’ Mrs Griffen said.

“Griffin is also in desperate need of new housing with no new land currently available for sale and the tightest rental vacancy on record, so we’re pleased to be able to provide quality new homes to help address this critical supply shortage.”

Freshwater Place will launch to the public in the coming months, with civil construction planned to commence later this year, followed by the commencement of the Woolworths and Freshwater Village retail and entertainment precinct.
