Freshwater Village Moves Forward: Roads and Shopping Centre Update

Progress along Brays Road is coming along nicely, and the end is in sight. Construction on the northern verge is now in its closing stages, with streetlights proudly in place and kerbs and footpaths nearing completion.

In the weeks ahead, See Civil will transition traffic onto the newly completed northern side—an important milestone in the road’s transformation.

Beyond the roadworks, Freshwater Village has hit the ground running in the new year. The supermarket building is making a bold statement, with tilt slabs now standing tall and structural steel rising quickly into place.

Subject to the programme, roofing is set to commence later this month, bringing the centre one visible step closer.

Momentum is building across the broader precinct. Footings for both the medical centre and dining precinct are now complete, paving the way for superstructures to begin rising over the next month.

Below ground, essential infrastructure continues to take shape, with underground services progressing well. Fire services and stormwater works are advancing strongly, including the installation of underground stormwater detention tanks designed to support the precinct for years to come.

With each passing week, Freshwater Village continues to emerge—driven by steady progress, coordinated construction, and a growing sense of place in the local community. One structure, one service, and one milestone at a time, the vision is slowly but surely becoming a reality.
